Hi hi! I am soooo excited to be rolling this post out to you at last. We’ve partnered with our friends over at Country Living Magazine over the past year in a series called Makeover Takeover. Well, we are partnering with them a final time to bring you *drum roll please* our kitchen renovation.
Inspiration for the Kitchen Renovation
We’ve been planning for our kitchen since the very moment we saw this house. We liked our previous kitchen just fine. It served its purpose and we were grateful to have it. But it served its purpose and we wanted to lean into some Country Colonial Charm for the redesign. We wanted creams, whites and all the texture. We rounded it out, as always, with hints of brass and little nautical easter eggs for long standing community members to spot. This kitchen renovation while not drastic, feels more like us. It feels incredible to have the kitchen all wrapped up.
What’s new with Country Living Magazine
It’s been such a labor of love to create and renovate this kitchen with Country Living Magazine. It’s been amazing to see how our kitchen and the magazine alike have changed. As of October, Country Living Magazine has gotten a little refresh. The spreads are now cozier and more country while keeping the things we love. You know like kitchen renovations with all the quirky details. Best of all, the imagery is bigger than ever so you can actually see all of the little details. They’ve brought back some of the columns from the early days without getting rid of the columns you love (I mean, Makeover Takeover anyone?)
And so you can go along for Country Living’s transformation journey, they’re offering you guys 50% off a full year of print and immediate access to the current digital issue through the Country Living App with the code VICTORIA We may be biased because of our own feature but we think this issue is the best yet.
It’s worth snagging the app from iOS and Android or here. When you access the app, it’ll unlock more than 10 years of digital issues for you to to enjoy. You can see kitchens over the years instead of doom scrolling. You’re welcome. Plus you can use your new found subscription to read the original of this story on Country Living. Report back if you love it. It was so much fun to create. Thank you as always for hanging.
XO Victoria

Heheh thank you!!! The lights are from Shiplights. It’s a women owned business and the quality is INCREDIBLE. They make the space so warm.

I love everything about this makeover! While I always love your renos and home decor, I love how you leaned into the colonial aspect of your home while keeping things very modern with a traditional/classic twist. Love this space so much and could totally see you guys getting your own TV show one day!

Thank you! That means so much to me. We loved the style of our home and we feel like we owe it to the house to honor that. It’s been such a joy to lean into that and to share it with you all.
