Hi everyone! I hope your holiday season is off to the best start possible. I have been running all over the place doing our year end shuffle. We’re cleaning as we do every December and also wrapping up Q4 in our nine to fives. Ordinarily, we’d also be prepping the house for Christmas gift opening and family dinner. And while that can’t happen this year, we are at least going to drop last-minute gifts to our local folks.
Cue us going over the river and through the woods (or at least through Raleigh) to do porch drop offs to our family in the area. Since it one of the few times that people are going to see me this year, I figured I’d take advantage of it and dress up a bit.
Talbots’ new arrivals section is the perfect place to find some pieces that are right at the intersection of timeless and on trend while still being festive. These tartan pants are a perfect example. And if pants are not your thing after the year we’ve had, there’s also a legging in a similar print.
I’ve paired them here with the matching print and it’s a bit much but c’mon. How could I resist? And with the lower heel, the Erica mules are perfect for sliding on before hopping out of the car to drop gifts. I would caveat this by saying if you’re in an area that’s getting visited by a Noreaster, best to get some covered shoes, huh? I highly recommend this boot. The bow detail at the ankle gives it a little something special.
