I am a lover of small businesses and the holidays are the perfect time to indulge in them. Small businesses are the bread and butter of our economy and the purveyor of the “American Dream’ in many ways. And with the impact of Covid-19, many small businesses are still struggling to pull themselves back to their original numbers. So I’ve pulled together a list of my favorite small business items. Almost all of these items are from small, women of color owned businesses. And for the ones that aren’t, I just love them dearly and can’t shut up about them. I own something from every shop on these list and most of the items in the guide are my actual favorite items. And while the savings are not nearly as good as some of the Black Friday savings offered by big box stores and retailers, I always take today as a remind that for each dollar spent with a small business, a real dollar goes into the pocket of a real person.
